                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF STREETS IN THE FORTWOOD AREA MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN FROM 7:15 P.M.
                   TO 9:45 P.M. ON FRIDAY, JUNE 12, 1992 FOR
                   THE PRESENTATION OF "TENNESSEE SPORTSFEST"
                   UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE CHATTANOOGA
                   TRACK CLUB.
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is authorized the
       temporary closing of Douglas Street between Vine Street and 5th
       Street, the temporary closure of 5th Street between Palmetto
       Street and 4th Street, the temporary closure of Mabel Street
       between 4th Street and Battery Place, the temporary closure of 
the
       Battery Place Ramp between Mabel Street and Riverside Drive, and
       the shoulder and westbound curblane of Riverside Drive between
       1011 Riverside Drive (the Sandbar Restaurant) and Mabel Street
       from 7:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 1992 for the
       presentation of "Tennessee Sportsfest" under the sponsorship of
       the Chattanooga Track Club provided that the sponsors shall set
       out and pick up all flasher barricades, road closed and detour
       signs in accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto 

       and shall provide, at all times, an access lane for emergency and 

       residential vehicles.
